I've been a fan of Skye Hatten for what seems like forever...
But I was always just that...just a fan. An anonymous fan.
One day she left a comment on my blog (which was very nice and thrilled me to no end) and then a few days later she emailed me asking if she could come to Billings for a family photoshoot with me. My. stomach. hit. my. throat.
This is BIG guys - HUGE. Photo'ing another photographer is already very nerve wracking...photo'ing another photographer of her talent, well that was a enough to make me instantly sweat from every pore in my body.
I could have played the "I'm booked" card (though that would be lying in a way) and I could have told her "thanks but no thanks, too much pressure" but one thing I knew for sure about Skye is that she is a real, genuine, LOVELY, fun person. More than anything I just wanted to meet her, and I guess she could pay me to take some pictures too. Why not? Seriously - what was the worst that could happen?
Yeah, all that level headed thinking went right out the window when their van pulled into the parking lot. My stomach hit my throat again and I just wanted to fake a stomach cramp and bail.
But I didn't of course. And Skye was lovely of course. And her family was fun and adorable - of course.
We had a GREAT time and I think I did 'er proud. : )
see? Doesn't she just LOOK fun!? She is. Trust me. : )
Thanks again Skye - it was a big highlight of my career and I'll never forget it. : )

JAYMEE!! I CAN'T BREATHE!!! I couldn't be more serious. I. LOVE. THESE. Every single one of them. More than you could know. I look at them and I keep smiling and then I look at them and I keep on smiling and it's that smile that you do and you don't even know you're doing it. They melt me and Jaymee, your words, ahhhh, they just got tucked away for safe-keeping. They mean the world...thank YOU Ms. Jaymee. You know I love ya! ;)
